A way of life since 1842, it’s no surprise that the Barossa Valley is Australia’s best known wine region. Home to around 50 wineries, wine lovers can’t go past a visit to the famous Jacobs Creek Vineyard and a drop of the Barossa Signature Shiraz, Chardonnay, Riesling and Barosé varieties.

Inspired by a paddock to plate philosophy, there are so many foodie experiences to be had in the region. From artisan cheese at the Barossa Valley Cheese Company to wood oven baked goodies at the Apex Bakery and locally grown producefrom the Barossa Farmers Market, the Valley takes humble flavours and foods to the next level.

Outdoor Adventure

Set amongst 100 year old gums, the Tanunda Pines Golf Club is a popular choice to tee off for locals and visitors alike.

If you have the family in tow, cool off at the Discovery ParksWaterpark. All the family are guaranteed a splashtacular time with three slides, a gigantic tipping bucket and more splash zones than you can count.

Step back in time

Experience the region’s rich history on foot. Take the 1.2km route along the Barossa Goldfields Walking Trail where thousands of fortune hunters tried their luck during the gold rush in the 1800s.

The Bethany Town Walk is a self-guided heritage tour through the Barossa Valley’s first village. Despite its title as the cosmopolitan capital of the Barossa, Tanunda is deeply rooted in tradition and stories of the charming village can be discovered on the Tanunda Heritage Walk.
